Jim's experience as a corporate trainer began more than 20 years ago. The family business included a division that provided training to the hospitality, healthcare, petroleum, and janitorial industries. Jim began working as an instructor leading Train the Trainer courses when he was just out of high school at 18 years of age. So you could say that Jim was born to train. In the decade that followed, Jim worked as a manufacturer sales agent marketing CPG Class programs to North America's largest retailers, including Canadian Tire, Wal-Mart, and Dollar Tree stores. The experience Jim gained during that decade help him to build a Canadian moving supply distributor into a Canadian leader in specialized self storage retail programs. But how would self storage operators and front line workers prove successful in adapting to this new business extension, fully stocked retail stores? Jim went back to his roots, providing in-house training programs for self storage leaders including Storage-Mart, Storage Vault, Apple Self Storage, to name a few. In time, Jim recognized that the best way to provide training for organizations spanning the continent was to move online; thus was born The Packologist® A hallmark of Jim's training philosophy is that learning should be fun, don't take yourself too seriously, and stick to the basics. He lives in Toronto and facilitates training across North America and around the world.
